True "throw-n-grow" gardening April 26, 2021 Reviewer: AAK! from FL, United States   You don't even have to clear an area of competing weeds. Just throw and some alyssum seeds and some will eventually take root and bloom, but if you want a true carpet of white flowers, you'll have to help 'em out a little.  If they get a head-start on competing weeds, they'll hold their own and will grow virtually anywhere so long as they have a smidgen of water. More water= more flowers, though. I plant this for the ladybugs, and it's low-growing enough to plant under every fruit tree. Pretty, undemanding, and useful. Can't get much better than that.
